I subscribeAt first glance, the two (anti-)heroes of Task seem like complete opposites. A former pastor, Tom (Mark Ruffalo) is an honest FBI agent who has been forced into early retirement due to a family problem. Robbie (Tom Pelphrey) is a garbage collector by day and a robber by night. He burglarizes the drug dens of a biker gang to avenge his brother's murder and offer what he hopes will be a better future for his children. When the series begins, the former is appointed head of a special unit (a "task force"), composed of three rookie agents, to catch the latter.
